The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Chancellor requires all NSHE administrative units to submit quarterly updates on the progress and challenges to their work in their respective areas of responsibility on each NSHE campus. These reports provide for transparency and accountability from the administrative unit to the campus community and the greater public as to how state resources are being utilized.
The Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at UNLV whole-heartedly supports the Chancellor’s call for transparency and accountability in our efforts—we welcome the opportunity to provide regular, detailed updates on the progress of our work. Toward this end, copies of the quarterly reports submitted by this administrative unit to the Chancellor, dating back to the inception of the Office in the Fall of 2007, are provide here for review and feedback.
As you review these updates, please take note of the vast array of individuals, groups, and organizations that have worked in support of and/or partnership to the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion to make UNLV’s campus-wide diversity and inclusion efforts both possible and successful. Clearly, to be most effective in walking our talk, the work of diversity and inclusion must be conceived of and implemented as a community responsibility — in each update, you will see clear evidence that UNLV campus and community diversity and inclusion stakeholders have embraced this responsibility wholeheartedly.
The door to the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion is always open to you to bring ideas, questions, and concerns to our attention at your convenience.
