Equity Compliance and Education Council

(Members appointed by school/college deans)

This council's work is dedicated to improving the coordination of services that support student, faculty, and staff access and success at UNLV. Because of the equity compliance role associated with the Office of the Vice President of Planning, and the equity education role aligned with the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, both offices will co-coordinate the council's work. This work will include, but not be limited to:

  1. Prioritizing the recruitment, mentoring, retention, and promotion of faculty of color, women faculty, and faculty from other underrepresented groups

  2. Facilitating the equity-related components of search and selection processes

  3. Coordinating the College [School] Diversity Action Plan

  4. Ensuring compliance with university-wide sexual harassment prevention

  5. Continuously developing a College climate that promotes ethical behavior and academic integrity
